The SampleScan HS Series Readers use camera-based image capture technology and have the smallest footprint of the SampleScan line, making any model a great choice where benchtop space is limited. The SampleScan HS software provides customizable output files including rack ID, 2D tube barcode and tube position. 

There are two versions of the SampleScan HS series to choose from and each one can be integrated with the MS-2 1D barcode reader.

  • The SampeScan HS is for SLAS compliant boxes and racks.
  • The SampleScan HS Cryobox is suitable for SLAS sized boxes and racks, 81 well and 100 well cryoboxes.

Benefits of the SampleScan HS

  • The HS will work in cold room conditions down to -20° C
  • The HS decodes at 1 to 3 seconds per rack, providing the best and fastest decoding for tube racks coming from freezers colder than minus 80° C (-80° C). Specifically, tube racks coming from liquid nitrogen temperatures will have the best results with this camera based system.
  • The HS also has a wide focal length making decoding 2D barcoded tubes in nonstandard racks a readily a successful procedure with the SampleScan HS System.
