The open format of the interchangeable thermal block adapts to the work-space footprint and accepts a variety of precisely fitted thermal inserts.With the thermal inserts one can quickly switch from one plate format to another and quickly change the assay set-up right at the workspace.
The Mecour thermal blocks can be customized for specific footprints and standard thermal blocks are available as single, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, even up to 20 position formats that are suitable as stand-alone benchtop units or integrated into automated platforms.
The thermal inserts are placed into the thermal block configuration that works for your assay, and multiple insert types can be used in a multi-position thermal block to create flexible assay configurations. Some examples are as follows:
